“Tommy the Termite” answers questions about crickets from children in the Vance Child Development Center’s pre-school class during a Feb. 19 visit. Tommy the Termite, portrayed by Richard Johndrow with the CSC Entomology division, asked the children if they had seen his cousin, “Carl the Cricket.” The children are doing a unit on crickets, so Tommy the Termite explained how crickets live and how soon the children can expect to see the bugs.
