Team Vance deployer wins vacation in Texas Published Oct. 21, 2008 By Melissa A. Seror 71st Force Support Squadron VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- One Team Vance deployer will be vacationing in Texas soon, and five more are entered to win a relaxing cruise from Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command Services, as part of the "Welcome Home" program. Welcome Home is a special program that provides lucky returning deployers and their families with grand prizes of relaxing vacation cruises, in addition to demonstrating the capability of Services to provide quality leisure activities in support of returnees. Vance Services and the A&FRC have teamed together to offer Vance returning deployers a chance to win the Vance Welcome Home Getaway Package -- a local travel-prize package to the Arlington, Texas, area. During the Wing Recognition Celebration held Tuesday, Sept. 30, Senior Airman Ashleigh Barber was selected the Vance Welcome Home Getaway Package winner. Also on Sept. 30, five Team Vance members' names were selected in the second Welcome Home Program drawing at the Vance Airman & Family Readiness Center. They were then entered in the grand prize drawing at the AETC level for a vacation cruise. The five lucky Vance members are Airman 1st Class Chris Wilson, Senior Airman Daniel Fuller, Staff Sgt. Shawn Brundzo, 2nd Lt. Leonard Sly and Maj. Joseph Markusfeld. The Welcome Home program is for AETC Airmen who have been deployed more than 120 days in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. Recent deployers can visit the A&FRC, Bldg. 314, for eligibility and an entry form for all prizes at the Vance and AETC levels. For more information, call 213-6330. The next drawing will take place in January.
