T-6 mishap at Vance Published June 4, 2008 By 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- An Air Force T-6A Texan II assigned to Vance was damaged upon landing at approximately 10:20 a.m. near the inside runway here. One instructor pilot and one student on board exited from the aircraft without injuries. Vance emergency response personnel were on scene immediately to assist in recovery efforts. The incident is being investigated. T-6 aircraft at Vance are not scheduled to fly for the remainder of the day.
