Twelve members of the 5th Flying Training Squadron were among those named for promotion in the fiscal 2008 Air Force Reserve promotion selection board results released last week.

Selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel were: Stacey Bonasso, Dennis Burgart, Gregory Cox, Daniel Greenwood, Matthew Holthoff, Jospeh Lyons, Phillip Marshall, Paul McKenna, Michael Rowland and Michael Vanzo. Dwain Kuehl was a below-the-zone select for lieutenant colonel. Christopher Alexander was selected for promotion to major.
A selection board convened at ARPC on June 11 for the Air Force Reserve line and nonline lieutenant colonel and LAF-J/chaplain major to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members reviewed the records of more than 1,990 Air Force Reserve line and nonline officers. The board selected 954 officers selected for promotion.

Categories considered during this promotion board are: line, chaplain, dental corps, line of the Air Force-judge advocate, medical corps, nurse corps, medical service corps and biomedical sciences corps officers.

The results of the FY08 Air Force Reserve boards included 545 line officers selected from 812 considered for a 67 percent select rate in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel.

Promotion effective dates are based on the individual's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site.
