On March 2 at 4:00 pm, the doors to the Airmen Center will open inside the Community Chapel Activities Center. The Airmen Center is a state-of-the-art recreational center for enlisted personnel. The Airmen Center was designed to facilitate increased interaction between the enlisted personnel and Chapel staff. This smoke and alcohol free environment will provide opportunities for safe recreation. "We're trying to give Airmen who live in the dorms something positive to do in an environment that's alcohol free," said Staff Sergeant Smith, Chaplain Assistant. Airmen living off base and in married family housing are welcome as well.

Available activities will include watching sporting events and movies on the Airmen Center's two 62 inch TVs and shooting pool. The Airmen Center will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 am until 8:00 pm. The Chapel Staff is currently accepting suggestions for naming the Airmen Center. The winning name will be announced at the Center's grand opening ceremony. Please call x7211 for more information.
