Operation Kids 2006 Published Nov. 1, 2006 By 2nd Lt. James Justice Public Affairs Vance Air Force Base, Okla. -- Seventy warriors deployed from here Oct. 19 in support of Operation Kids.The program, sponsored by the 71st Flying Training Wing Airman and family readiness center, includes a kid-friendly processing line, simulated plane trip, fun activities at Camp Liberty and a welcome home reunion."I thought it went extremely well," said 2nd Lt. Nick Varner, program coordinator. "Several parents informed me that their children really enjoyed it and they thought it was a worthwhile program."I would like to thank the 62nd Airlift Squadron from Little Rock AFB, the Army National Guard, Red Cross members and all the volunteers, as well as the base agencies, for the great support they provided to make Operations Kids a success," the class 08-03 student pilot said.
