Twenty-three new pilots receive their wings during graduation ceremony May 22 Published May 26, 2025 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Twenty-three students in Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 25-10 received their wings during a ceremony held May 22 at Vance Air Force Base. The newly pinned pilots completed their initial aviation training in the T-6A Texan II and will continue in either the T-1A Jayhawk or the T-38C Talon training programs at Vance. The guest speaker at the Class 25-10 graduation ceremony was Air Force Col. Adam Rosado, the deputy commander of the 97th Air Mobility Wing, Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Rosado is a command pilot with more than 3,500 flight hours. He earned his wings at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, in 2003, and has flown the T-37, T-1A, KC-135 and KC-10. Class 25-10 award winners were: 2nd Lt. Jackson Davis received the Academic Award; Capt. Joseph Harris received the Leadership Award; Capt. Alex Bood received the Flying Training Award and was named a Distinguished Graduate; 1st Lt. Shannon Smith received the Air Education & Training Command Commander’s Trophy and was named a Distinguished Graduate; 2nd Lt. Patricia Kimball received the Wingman Award.
