Class 25-15 earns 42 new sets of wings

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Forty-two students in Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 25-15 received their wings during a ceremony held Sept. 19 at Vance Air Force Base.

The newly pinned pilots completed their initial aviation training at Vance and will continue in either the T-38 Talon here or in their assigned aircraft at their next base.

The graduation speaker at the Class 25-15 ceremony was Air Force Brig. Gen. Tara Nolan, the Mobilization Assistant to the commander, 12th Air Force, Air Forces Southern, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.

Nolan is a senior pilot with 1,650 hours in U.S. Air Force aircraft. She has flown the T-37, T-1, C-130H3 and the C-130E. She earned her pilot wings in 1999 at Vance Air Force Base.

Class 25-15 award winners were:
2nd Lt. Daniel Ferenczhalmy received the Academic Award;
Capt. Alberto Rivera Santana received the Leadership Award;
2nd Lt. Michael Ferrito received the Flying Training Award, the Air Education & Training Command Commander’s Trophy and was named a Distinguished Graduate;
2nd Lt. Hayden Kolster received the Wingman Award and was named a Distinguished Graduate;
2nd Lt. Stacy Renson received the Order of Daedalians Award, Academic Training Award, Flying Training Award and was named a Distinguished Graduate;
2nd Lt. Nicholas Hynson received the Wingman Award;
2nd Lt. Albert Menocal received the Leadership Award.
