“Little” Airmen march in red, white & blue parade Published May 1, 2015 By Staff Sgt. Nancy Falcon 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Nearly 100 "little" Airmen joined their parents and Team Vance leaders for the 2015 Red, White and Blue Parade here April 20 in celebration of the Month of the Military Child. The parade was organized by several programs on base including the Youth Center and the Child Development Center. Some children rode bicycles or trikes, while others walked with or were carried by their parents. Many wore ABUs to match their parent's uniforms, and almost all carried American Flags. The parade was led by Col. Clark Quinn, the 71st Flying Training Wing commander, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Peter Speen, the 71st FTW command chief, who carried a banner highlighting the annual celebration.
