The 71st Operations Support Squadron took home the Sergeant Dee Campbell Aviation Resource Management Team of the Year Award to the sound of applause during a wing recognition ceremony March 30.

The aviation resource managers here received the award for their efforts between 2013 and 2014.

"We all work hard to keep the mission going here," said Master Sgt. Dawn Devlin, the superintendent for the aviation resource managers. "Our top priority is delivering world-class pilots to the operational Air Force."

Aviation resource managers are attached to each of the flying training squadrons to ensure pilots here are medically qualified, that their training is current and that their flying hours are correct.

"If our Airmen did not do their job, the pilots here wouldn't be flying," said Devlin. "We ensure they are fit to fly from the day they start training until the day they retire."

A T-6A Texan II takes off approximately every three minutes during each training day here. Each one of those take-offs are processed by the aviation managers before the pilots even step onto the flightline.

Between October of 2013 and September of 2014 the aviation resource managers here made sure student pilots and their instructors made it to the flightline 100,000 times.

"We all work well together here," said Devlin. "I'm proud to be part of the 71st Operations Support Squadron."
