In preparation for the 2015 Vance Air Force Base Masquerade Ball, several Airmen learned how to two-step during a country dance class held Jan. 15 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center.

The class was hosted by the Air Force Sergeants Association Chapter 990 in coordination with the Vance Company Grade Officers Council.

Tom Drennan, from the 71st Security Forces Squadron, and his wife Becca, who bartends at a local dance club, taught the class.

The Airmen learned the two-step and a line dance to match the song "Copperhead Road."

Refreshments were provided by the CGOC and AFSA.

Tuesday's country class was the second of three classes that led up to the ball. The first was a salsa night that was held Jan. 6 and the last was a hip-hop line dance class that was held Jan. 14.

"The goal of the classes was to get people who have never danced before ready to rock the floor during this year's Masquerade Ball," said James Bolinger, the AFSA Chapter 990 vice president. "People danced for all night at this year's ball. They danced so hard that the dance floor moved nearly four feet toward the DJs booth. I would say that the Dance Classes were a success."
