Join Sparky for Fire Prevention Week

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Sparky the Fire Dog and members of the Vance Fire Department greeted Team Vance members who were driving to work through the Hairston Gate Oct 7.

Oct. 5 to 10 is Fire Prevention week, and Vance firefighters want to remind everyone to check their smoke alarms and change the batteries at least twice a year.

Vance firefighters and Sparky visited Eisenhower Elementry School Oct. 6 to speak with students about fire safety and conducted fire extinguisher training throughout the week.
