Air Force Entertainment and Vance Air Force Base present the annual Tops In Blue show at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W. Purdue, Oct. 7. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. This is a family-friendly event.

Tops In Blue celebrates 60 years this year and will commemorate six decades of performing for military families throughout the world by showcasing current top hits by Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Florida Georgia Line, and the Pistol Annies as well as popular tunes from yesteryear.

Of course, no Tops In Blue show would be complete without the great patriotic music that honors our nation and its heroes. Add the high energy precision choreography and dazzling visual impact Tops In Blue is known for and every member of the audience will be singing along and dancing in their seats during the 90-minute concert.

Thirty-nine active duty Air Force members will sing, dance, play instruments and show technical skills as the 2014 Tops In Blue team. Leading the team this year are Capt. Fenesha Friar and Chief Master Sgt. Andrea Falcher.

As always, Enid has stepped up to bring the Tops In Blue team to town. The team relies on each hosting base to provide a venue, lodging and more than 80 military and civilian volunteers to pave the way for a smooth event.

Every year talented personnel stationed worldwide (including members stationed at Vance) compete in a multilevel competition for the right to be selected as a member of this elite organization. Only 35-40 men and women are chosen to tour the United States and more than 20 countries in 90 performances over a seven-month period. They are their own road crew, responsible for more than 60,000 pounds of staging, lighting, audio, video and special effects equipment required for each performance.

They have served as the Air Force's goodwill ambassadors throughout the world since 1953. To learn more about Tops In Blue, go to topsinblue.com.
