CFC to kickoff with breakfast Published Sept. 26, 2014 By 2014 CFC Campaign 71st Flying Training Wing VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- A free kickoff breakfast for the Vance Combined Federal Campaign is scheduled for Sept. 30 at 7 a.m. in the Community Chapel Activities Center. The annual breakfast is hosted by the Vance Air Force Base CFC Committee and other Vance professional organizations. The event will celebrate the beginning of Vance's largest charity drive. All 71st FTW active duty, Reserve and government employees are invited to enjoy a free breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes to initiate this year's campaign. The CFC Kickoff Breakfast will run through 9 a.m. or whenever the food runs out, so be sure to come early. This year's CFC for Vance will be five weeks long with a goal of raising $97,675.41. It will run from Sept. 29 to Nov. 7. The CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. It consists of nearly 200 CFC campaigns world-wide raising millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits to those in need throughout the world. The CFC today is known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 nonprofit organizations worldwide.
