Isabel Crump 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Twenty-four Key Spouses were honored for their service to other Team Vance families during a luncheon at the Vance Collocated Club April 10. Key Spouses fill several roles. Primarily, they support families of deployed Airmen. However, at Vance, they also focus on welcoming new members of Team Vance and help ease the transition to life in Enid. Of the 33 men and women in the Key Spouse Program here, one was recognized for going above and beyond in her work as a Key Spouse. Sarina Houston, named the 2013 AETC Key Spouse of the Year, was highlighted at the luncheon for her exceptional leadership and dedication to the Vance community. "We can't execute the mission without the support that we get from Key Spouses," said Col. Darren James, 71 Flying Training Wing commander. To thank these volunteers, Vance leadership presented each member with a yellow rose and a book entitled "The Secret to Living is Giving."
