Ghost Riders take honors at Altus leadership school Published March 19, 2014 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Six Team Vance Airmen graduated with Airman Leadership School Class 14-C, March 14, and two Ghost Riders took honors. Senior Airman Cody O'Connell was named the John L. Levitow Award winner and Senior Airman Matthew London received the Academic Award. Both men are with the 71st Operations Support Squadron. The Vance Airmen met Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James A. Cody during their time at the leadership school at Altus Air Force Base, Okla., when he spoke to their class March 6. The chief talked with the students about why leadership is important and how ALS prepares them for future roles as supervisors. Also graduating in Class 14-C were: Senior Airman Nicholas Galbraith, 71st Security Forces Squadron Senior Airman Christopher Savage, 71st Communications Squadron Senior Airman Jonathan Young, 71st OSS Senior Airman Carolyn Lyons, 25th Flying Training Squadron
