SIGMO diners celebrate the new year Published Jan. 29, 2014 By Senior Airman Frank Casciotta 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 71st Mission Support Group fed more than 165 people with a traditional New Year's menu during the January Singles' International Gourmet Meal Opportunity Jan. 27 at the Community Chapel Activity Center on base. SIGMO is hosted by the Vance Chapel and operated by unit volunteers the last Monday of each month from 4:45 until 5:45 p.m. Singles, unaccompanied Air Force members and the families of Airmen who are deployed or TDY are welcome. Twenty volunteers from the 71st MSG served chicken stuffed with rice, pork fritter, green beans, mashed potatoes, salad and various homemade desserts. The organizer for the January SIGMO was 2nd Lt.
