Vance air traffic controller receives Commandant's Award at ALS graduation

Team Vance air traffic controller earned the Commandant's Award during the Airman Leadership School Class 14-A graduation Dec. 10 at Altus Air Force Base, Okla.

Senior Airman Robert Buckhanan, a Ghostrider with the 71st Operations Support Squadron, received the award for displaying all the characteristics of an effective leader during the five-weeks of professional military education.

The 71st Flying Training Wing vice commander, Col. John Menozzi, and the 71st FTW command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Mark Aman, attended the Class 14-A graduation ceremony.

Twenty-two Airmen graduated with Class 14-A.
