Nearly 40 Team Vance members attended the first of three Vance Masquerade Ball dance lessons Nov. 14 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center on base.

The event, which was sponsored by the Chief's Group, featured two-step and country line dancing. It was taught by Tom Drennan, a 71st Security Forces Squadron civilian police officer and Kasey Bolton, president of the Vance Enlisted Spouses Group.

The next class is scheduled for Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the AFRC and will feature a refresher on two-stepping and urban/hip hop line dances.

The Masquerade Ball is scheduled for Jan. 11, 2014, and the tickets are on sale until Dec. 12. The ball is not a formal sit down dinner and will feature dancing, a disc jockey and heavy hors' d'oeuvres.
