Plains Pool opens Saturday, season passes available

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- As the temperatures rise in Oklahoma, a dip in the Plains Pool may be just the relief you need to survive this summer.

The base pool is scheduled to open May 28 and family season passes are on sale now for $45.

It will be open seven days a week, 12 hours a day through the second weekend in August.

Swim lessons begin June 6 and the deadline to sign up is June 2. Fees for swim lessons and season passes are paid at the Fitness Center. Lessons cost $40.

Two free lap swim times are available -- 11 a.m. to noon and 5 to 6 p.m.

A new addition to the pool this year is a handicap chair to assist handicap individuals enter and exit the pool.
