Congratulations Team Vance on a job very well done! Your months of preparation and hard work have paid off, and now the rest of the Air Force knows what we already knew; the men and women of Vance Air Force Base get the job done, they do it safely with precision and excellence every day. I knew that before the inspectors got here and I know it will continue long after they're gone.
I'm proud of each and every one of you; thank you for your continued dedication and tireless effort. Join me at 3 p.m. today at the base park for our post inspection celebration picnic; I hope to see you all there!
While we celebrate our success, we must be careful not to dwell on it. We need to stay focused and look to the future and how we can improve our already excellent processes. There is always room to grow and improve; and with the camaraderie between our military and civilian teammates and the support of the Enid community, I know we will continue to do just that.
September brings with it yet another inspection. The 12th through the 16th we'll have our Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program inspection, better known as the ESOHCAMP. I'm confident we will excel during this inspection, but to do so we must remain focused.
I want to take this opportunity to say farewell to members of Team Vance who have recently deployed and who will deploy in the coming weeks. These are your teammates putting themselves in harm's way in the name of democracy and freedom ... keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you again for the effort and excellence you displayed during the inspection. Have a great weekend and as always, take care of your wingman.
