New control tower
Construction crews use a crane to add wall segments to the new air traffic control tower at Vance Air Force Base, Okla. Officials with the general contractor, the Peter R. Brown Construction Company from Atlanta, expect to finish construction of the $9.44 million tower this summer. The new tower will stand 112 feet tall, more than 35 feet higher than the current tower visible in the background. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman 1st Class Frank Casciotta)
