Construction site
The 60,000 square-foot training building, part of the Armed Forces Reserve Center under construction on the south end of Vance AFB, will provide training space for Soldiers with the Army Reserve and Oklahoma Army National Guard. Construction on the $20 million center is ahead of schedule, said Braven Dyer, the project engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A ground breaking ceremony was held June 24 this year and TCI Architects/Engineers/Contractor, Inc., from La Crosse, Wis., began work July 14. The scheduled completion date of the training building and a 9,000 square-foot operations maintenance building is Oct. 27, 2010. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Joe B. Wiles)
