Gott gets going
(Photo by Frank McIntyre) Col Mike Callan, 71st Flying Training Wing commander, is joined by (from the left) Phil Tomlinson, Oklahoma Secretary of Transportation; Ernie Currier, mayor of Enid; and Mike Cooper, Vance AFB Development Authority, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gott Road extension. The $1.18 million project will extend the Vance AFB main entrance a half mile north. The extension is the first step of the force protection efforts to increase standoff space between public roads and the base’s northern perimeter.
