Hook echo
A picture from Vance radar of last Saturday’s storm shows a tornado hook echo shortly after the Enid tornado sirens went off. The hook is the “C” shaped red portion of the image. The tornado touched down in Enid at approximately 10:45 p.m. The purple box is the tornado warning area that was issued by the National Weather Service in Norman, Okla. Vance is located at the “KEND” on the radar image. (Graphic courtesy of Vance’s weather flight)
