Capt. Jeremy Rose of the 71st Operational Support Squadron presents Mr. John R. Dale, survivor of both the battle of Iwo Jima and four years as a Japanese prisoner of war, with a plaque commemorating both his service and involvement with the Ghost Rider Veterans Series program Dec. 19. The Ghost Rider Veteran Series program seeks senior, area military veterans to share their stories and perspectives with young service members on base as an initiative to strengthen military heritage and the warrior mentality. A plaque bearing the names of veterans who have been involved with the program is on display in the 71st Operational Support Squadron at Vance AFB. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt. Lynn Aird)
