AF Birthday cake cutting

Team Vance recognized the Air Force birthday with an early cake cutting Sept. 15, by, left to right, Jean Forshee, Airman 1st Class Trevor Huddleston, Col. Mark Nowland and Warren Scheffe. Ms. Forshee is the senior government employee at Vance AFB, Okla., serving here since 1977. Airman Huddleston, 18 years old, is the junior enlisted Airman at Vance. Colonel Nowland is the 71st Flying Training Wing commander. Mr. Scheffe is the senior contract employee at Vance, working here since 1960. During the ceremony in the atrium of the 71st FTW headquarters building, Colonel Nowland pointed out that, “Twenty years from now, on the 81st Air Force birthday, who knows what kind of aircraft lieutenants at this ceremony will be flying.” The Air Force keeps moving higher and meeting new challenges, he said.
