New simulator system

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – The Virtual Image Takeoff and Landing XI, left, is the visual upgrade system being made to T-6A Texan II simulators, on the right is the current system. The new system not only gives a visual upgrade, but increased programming capabilities to simulator instructors, like icy runways or blowing dust. Students can expect to fly the new system beginning Oct. 27. (U.S. Air Force Illustration/Senior Airman Frank Casciotta and Staff Sgt. James Bolinger)
