Team Vance donates $113,922 during 2009 CFC Published Nov. 17, 2009 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Vance contributed $113,922 during the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign, exceeding the Wing's target amount by almost $29,000. "Vance, as a community, is incredibly generous," said Capt. Kevin Seay, Vance's 2009 CFC chairman. "In a time when the economy has been down and the entire country is in a save-not-spend mode, Team Vance really came through." Twenty-nine percent of those contacted this year donated to CFC with an average gift of $271. The job of making all those contacts fell to the unit key workers. "The 2009 CFC would not have happened were it not for the dedicated and prolonged efforts of the individual group and squadron key workers," said Captain Seay. "My job was made incredibly easy by their combined efforts." Vance continues to help make CFC the largest and most successful workplace philanthropic fundraiser in the world. "Vance community members took this opportunity, as they have in the past, to pass on their good fortune for the betterment of those around them," said Captain Seay. Although the official campaign is over, cash contributions to the CFC can still be made through Captain Seay. Contact him at 213-6510, or kevin.seay@vance.af.mil.
